There are a lot of things you can do to amplify your quant score. The best thing to do is to acquire a good quality manual or set of manuals, The 800score and ManhattanGMAT stuff is pretty good. Then you need to allocate an balanced and ample amount of time to practice. Don't fall in to the trap of memorizing how to solve problems. The objective is to learn the principle behind the problem so that you can address a wide range of similar problems. You should also have a resource where you can ask somebody to help you like a tutor or something.

Whichever coaching institute that you join, you should consider the following: - Materials and handouts - Focussed attention paid to every student - concepts/tools/techniques provided - clarification and explanation provided - Follow up and feedback process
