What is the most important aspect of a good MBA Essay ? There has to be something hidden between the lines. It cant just be about answering the question. The whole GMAT is a damn IQ test, whats the angle in writing a good essay?
Everybody just answers the question. The objective is to be as clear, concise, and creative as you possibly can be. The first step in writing a dynamic essay is to study the school. Good places to begin are speeches that the dean may have recently given, public releases from the university, articles about the university published in reputable journals, newspapers, and magazines, and discussions that you may have had with real faculty (as opposed to admissions people). You have to understand what the school is about and what kind of student body they are hoping to compose for the year of interest.
Creatively and efficiently composing an essay with the knowledge you will absorb from your research will certainly yield a dynamic essay. Remember, your essay is supposed to capture the admissions committee, they have to want to keep reading. You want to compel them, to capture them, to convey your reasons for wanting to attend their business school in a way that is both sound and appealing.
